Prof. Dr. Carla Rohrer Bley hat von der Swiss Cancer Research Foundation einen namhaften Grant für 48 Monate erhalten, um Katzen mit oralen Plattenepithelkarzinomen mit einer speziellen Bestrahlungstechnik mit Protonen zu bestrahlen (am Paul-Scherrer-Institut). Der Titel des Forschungsprojektes ist: "FEline orAl squamous cell carcinoma to model human head & neck tumours: A phase II/III randomized trial assessing early toxicity and anti-tumour efficacy of ultra-high dose rate (FLASH) vs. conventional dose rate proton THERapy (FEATHER)".
