PhD

Currently, three types of PhD doctorates are available.

PhD Program Veterinary Medicine Science Dr. sc. med. vet.

The Graduate School of Bern (GCB) is a joint project run by the University of Bern's Faculties of Medicine and Science, the University of Bern's Vetsuisse Faculty, and the University of Zurich's Vetsuisse Faculty. The GCB is structured in five different fields:

• Biological Systems
• Biomedical Engineering
• Biomedical Sciences
• Cell Biology
• Molecular Biology & Biochemistry

Veterinarians who successfully complete their PhD program via the GCB will receive the promotion to Dr. sc. med. vet. from the Vetsuisse Faculty UZH.

PhD Life Science Zurich Graduate School

MD/PHD

The UZH offers doctoral studies at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MNF) for students of medicine, veterinary medicine and dentistry.
