Submitting a Habilitation Application

You must submit your habilitation documents in person at the Office of the Dean of the Vetsuisse Faculty (it's advisable to call 044 635 81 21 in advance to make an appointment). The provisions of the habilitation ordinance are binding. Habilitations with formal shortcomings and incomplete dossiers will be returned and must be resubmitted.

Document Checklist

Eight copies of the following must be submitted with the application for habilitation:

  1. Curriculum vitae
  2. List of publications
  3. Habilitation thesis
  4. The five most important publications that are not part of the habilitation thesis
  5. Proof of qualifications (teaching evaluations) and academic achievement
  6. CD-ROM of the habilitation thesis, including the five points specified above

Together with the habilitation application, the habilitation candidate is free to submit a list of no more than five possible external reviewers for the habilitation thesis, which will not be binding on the Faculty Assembly. If this option is utilized, any relationships with the proposed reviewers must be disclosed.

Attending Courses

Habilitation candidates should study further in areas where they view themselves as being weak or which they are particularly interested in.
